I mean for many of the survivors, it was hard to rebuild after enduring such a tragic moment. Seeing so many friends, people, and family perish in front of their eyes at the thousands :(

The Holocaust had scarred the Jewish people to the point where world war II could not be mentioned among Jewish families. The Holocaust is one of the ways God has shown us that the Jewish people are Protected by him. If we take a look at history, no ancient civilization has survived this long. Israel is still here today. The Holocaust was one of the most terrible persecutions The Jewish people have encountered. one of the reasons why world war II was so significant is because of the holocaust. Not only did it effect the Jews, it effected everyone in Europe, especially the Germans. imagine the shame on the German people years after it happened. Even though Germans today took no part and are truly against what happened, it is still very sorrowful to think about. This event truly sorrowful for everyone. My deepest respect for all holocaust survivors.

4. Which industries produced great profits and wealth in the late 1800s? What does this reveal
777dan777 [17]

Well an obvious answer would be slavery, depending on how late you're talking. After slavery ended, the country began what is known as the "industrial revolution". The north had already begun industrializing for a while, but in the 1870's and beyond, things ramped up quite a bit. Factories for clothes, shoes, farming equipment, packaged foods, and etc. became more popular. You also had coal mines, railroads, and steel mills. This showed the country was moving in the direction of mass production, and moving away from agricultural ways of living. This also meant child labor, which led to many child labor laws in the later years. This also meant many moved out of farming communities, and into larger, noisy, and crowded cities. Many immigrated to the US to take advantage of that, which led to some tension between communities.

Hope that helps!
