<u>Answer:</u>

There are 2 types of resources - renewable and non renewable

<u></u>

<u>Advantages:</u>

<u>Renewable resources:</u>

1. As the name suggests, it can be renewed that means we could never run out of this source or its abundance will never end.

2. The cost and efficiency of this resource is totally dependent on the present technology. It can be produced locally with the technology used.

<u>Non renewable resources:</u>

1. They are very profitable in business.

2. They are easy to use and cost efficient.

<u>Disadvantages:</u>

<u>Renewable resources:</u>

1. The upfront and installation cost is much higher.

2. They depend on natural factors like sunlight, wind, water which are not constant. Thus they don’t have constant supply.

<u>Non renewable resources</u>

1. They lead into the emission of green house gases which pollutes the environment and causes acid rain, fire hazards etc.

2. They are limited in nature, once exhausted, they will take thousands of years to get ready for use.

Label the drawing to the right
larisa86 [58]

Answer:

The three processes from left to right are:

<u>Replication</u>   DNA  <u>Trancription</u>  RNA  <u>Translation</u> Protein

Explanation:

The process in question in the diagram is called the central dogma of life which describes the flow of genetic information from DNA to RNA to Protein. The three processes involved are:

  1. DNA Replication
  2. Transcription
  3. Translation

DNA Replication:

DNA replication is the process by which DNA makes a copy of itself. Replication of DNA is semi-conservative. this means that each new helix is a combination of an old (parent) strands and a new (daughter strand). The parental strand is used as a template to generate a complementary daughter strand.

Transcription:

Transcription is the formation of an RNA transcript of the DNA template. This process yields a mRNA that is further used as a code to manufacture proteins in the process of translation.

Translation:

Translation decodes the mRNA formed in transcription to generate proteins with specific amino acid sequence.

Which RNA molecule is involved in translating a short sequence of RNA into an amino acid, acting like a molecular Rosetta stone?
oee [108]

Given what we know about the translation process, we can confirm that the RNA in question that aids in the process of translating a short sequence of RNA into an amino acid is mRNA.

mRNA is referred to as messenger RNA. This RNA molecule acts as just that, a messenger carrying the necessary code to create amino acids and therefore, proteins. This messenger binds itself to <em><u>the </u></em><em><u>ribosomes</u></em><em><u> of a </u></em><em><u>cell</u></em>, which are in charge of reading the code,<em><u> one </u></em><em><u>codon </u></em><em><u>at a time,</u></em> and <u>chaining together the corresponding </u><u>amino acids</u><u>. </u>
