The Europeans found it difficult to control Africa because of the competition, stretched out military, and the revolts in Africa against them.

Explanation:

During the 1800's, the Europeans started to colonize Africa, and they managed to colonize all of the continent. The colonization was not simple though, as the European colonizers faced very big problems and had to put a lot of effort in it. There were several reasons as to why the Europeans found it hard, and some of those were:

  • the Africans fought against them and didn't wanted to surrender
  • the different colonial powers competed against each other, often causing major blows to each other
  • most of the European colonial powers had colonies all over the world, so their military was stretched and relatively weak

Despite all the problems, the Europeans managed to colonize Africa. They managed to do so because they had much more advanced technology, which gave them huge advantage on the battlefield even when they were heavily outnumbered. The political experience too influenced a lot, so once the continent was colonized the people were easily manipulated by the experienced politicians of Europe.

Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

The Sugar Act 1764 was repealed in 1766 and replaced with the Revenue Act 1766, which reduced the tax to one penny per gallon on molasses imports, British or foreign. This occurred around the same time that the Stamp Act 1765 was repealed.

Explanation:

On April 5, 1764, Parliament passed a modified version of the Sugar and Molasses Act (1733), which was about to expire. ... The Sugar Act reduced the rate of tax on molasses from six pence to three pence per gallon, while Grenville took measures that the duty be strictly enforced.
