Answer:Five careers within the STEM cluster that would be interesting to me are zoologist, marine engineer, botanist, aerospace engineer, and archaeologist. Of those careers, being a zoologist, botanist, or archaeologist sounds the most appealing to me. Based on my love of animals, I would choose to pursue a career as a zoologist.

A zoologist studies animals, plants, and wildlife in their natural habitat. I could conduct studies to find ways to improve the conditions of the animals and present my findings through reports and oral presentations. Some of the skills that would be necessary to excel in a position as a zoologist include critical thinking, written and oral communication, presentation and public speaking, observation, and problem-solving skills, and an overall love of animals and desire to improve their lives and living conditions would be necessary.

Before I could find work as a zoologist, it would be important to get at least a master’s degree. If I want to pursue independent research, I’ll need to earn a Ph.D. as well. I would start by getting a bachelor’s degree in zoology or animal biology. I would probably choose to attend the University of Florida, University of Wisconsin- Madison, or Texas A&M University. All of these schools have a reputable Department of Zoology program, but they don’t cost as much as other schools, so I wouldn’t have as much debt to pay off after I graduate.

After completing my bachelor’s degree, I would hope to complete an internship and then continue with a master’s degree in zoology at Oregon State University (OSU), where I also could pursue a doctorate degree if I so desired. Because OSU has laboratories on campus, I could start conducting research while still pursuing my degree.

Factor the expression into an equivalent form 12y^2-75.
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Hello oddworld7836!

\huge \boxed{\mathbb{QUESTION} \downarrow}

Factor the expression into an equivalent form 12y² - 75.

\large \boxed{\mathfrak{Answer \: with \: Explanation} \downarrow}

12 y ^ { 2 } - 75

By observing the expression, we can see that, 3 is the only common factor in both the terms of the expression. So, take the common factor 3 out.

12 y ^ { 2 } - 75 \\  = 3\left(4y^{2}-25\right)

Now, look at (4y² - 25). They don't have any common factors but they appear in the form of the algebraic identity ⇨ a² - b² = (a + b) (a - b). Here,

  • a² = 4, a = 2 (√a² = ✓4 = 2)
  • b² = 25, b = 5 (√b² = ✓25 = 5)

So, the (4y² + 25) becomes...

(4 {y}^{2}  - 25) \\  = \left(2y-5\right)\left(2y+5\right)

Now, bring the 3 (common factor) & rewrite the complete expression.

12 y ^ { 2 } - 75 \\  =  \boxed{ \boxed{ \bf \: 3\left(2y-5\right)\left(2y+5\right) }}

We can't further simplify it. Also, remember that the simplified form of an expression is equivalent to the expression. So, 3 (2y - 5) (2y + 5) is equivalent to 12y² - 75.

PLS HELP!!!! Select all the sequences of transformations that create a new congruent figure.
eduard

Answer:

A rotation, then a reflection.

Explanation:

Rotations and reflections are transformations that do not change the shape of the figures. In this case, whenever these two transformations are involved they form congruent figures. This process occurs first with the rotation and then with the reflection, thus creating a rotational symmetry, keeping the identical figures.
