I believe that these gifted children become socially isolated because they lack the challenge in the classroom. They are usually smarter than other kids and cannot be given the same tasks as 'normal' kids because they will find them too easy and tedious. Thus, they might become disruptive in the classroom because of the lack of challenge. You as a teacher should present them with challenging tasks that will require their full attention.
