Need Help REALLY REALLY REALLY BADLY! Lol Hi :) I really need help with this statistics question within 10 minutes. I do not kno

w where to start and math is not my strong suit. I don't even know where to start so your help would be greatly appreciated <3 this is worth 20 points!
Andrew believes the honor roll students at his school have an unfair advantage in being assigned to the math class they request. He asked 500 students at his school the following questions: "Are you on the honor roll?" and "Did you get the math class you requested?" The results are shown in the table below:

Honor roll Not on honor roll Total
Received math class requested 215, 125, 340,
Did not get math class requested 80, 80, 160
Total 295, 205, 500
Help Andrew determine if all students at his school have an equal opportunity to get the math class they requested. Show your work and explain your process for determining the fairness of the class assignment process.

The key to this question is calculating the percentage of students within each category (honor roll or non-honor roll) who received the class requested. We need to calculate the ratio of students who received the class they requested and who did not for both honor roll and non-honor roll students :

Honor Roll :

215 + 80 = 295 total honor roll students

215/295 = 72.88% = percentage of honor roll students who received class requested

80/295 = 27.12% = percentage of honor roll students who did not receive class requested

Non-Honor Roll :

125 + 80 = 205 total non-honor roll students

125/205 = 60.98% = percentage of non-honor roll students who received class requested

80/205 = 39.02% = percentage of non-honor roll students who did not receive class requested

72.88% of honor roll students received the preferred class as opposed to only 60.98% of non-honor roll students. Therefore, there is an advantage.

Use the graph of f below. Assume the entire function is graphed below.<br> Find the domain
enot [183]

ANSWER

The domain of the function is

- 3 \leqslant x \leqslant 6

or

[-3,6]

EXPLANATION

The domain of a function refers to the values of x for which the function is defined.

From the graph, we can see that the function begins at (-3,6) and ends at (6,-4).

Therefore the function is defined for x=-3 to x=6.

Hence the domain of the function is

- 3 \leqslant x \leqslant 6

or

[-3,6]

Robert has 60 feet of fence to make a dog pen. He will use the house for one side of the pen, as shown above. What dimensions wi
irinina [24]

The formula for an area of a regular parallelogram is:

A = l * w

Where,

l = length

w = width

We are given that the total measurement of fence is only 60 feet and one side of the house is used as one side of the pen. Therefore,

l + 2 w = 60

<span>or simplifying to make an explicit expression for one  variable, say l:</span>

l = 60 – 2 w

<span>Substituting to the 1st equation:</span>

A = (60 – 2 w) * w

A = 60 w – 2 w^2

<span>The maxima are obtained by getting the 1st derivative then equating dA/dw = 0:</span>

dA/dw = 60 – 4 w

60 – 4 w = 0

4 w = 60

w = 15

Since l = 60 - 2w

l = 60 – 30

l = 30

<span>Therefore the dimension that will make the largest pen is 15 ft by 30 ft.</span>
