To Kill a Mockingbird is a coming of age story centered around the Finch family and their fight to do what is right and defend an innocent black man, as well as discover the true intentions of a madman who locked himself in his house for years. Scout learns the lessons of love, mercy and tolerance. And to never shoot a mockingbird, for it is a sin to kill a thing that sings beautifully and harms nobody.
