Here is the detailed response.....

Explanation:

The counter-reformation: is a religious act formed by the Catholics in retort to The Protestant reformation/Lutheranism. Martin Luther discussed the 95 reasons why there was critical flaws in the catholic churches. As the Catholics began to defect from the catholic churches and convert to Lutheran churches. The Catholic churches began to Reform their ways of life to keep their members from defecting from their churches to the Lutheran churches. All of these events considering the Defection of Catholics members to the Lutheran Churches led to the Council of Trent. The form of the Council of Trent led to the advocation of the Catholic Churches. This also led to the formation of Jesuits. How were steam-powered ships different from sail boats?
Aleks04 [339]
The appropriate answer is B. steam boats could travel against the current on a river. This statement means that steam boats could travel upstream. The steam engine in steam boats allowed them to travel upstream possibly against a strong current. Sail boats rely on wind or the downstream flow of the water to move it from one location to the other. The invention of the steamboat revolutionised transportation of goods and people on large navigable rivers.
