Further Explanation

The Philippine–American War, additionally ascribed to as the Filipino–American War, was an outfitted clash amid the Head Philippine Republic and the US which advanced from February 4, 1899, to July 2, 1902.

While Filipino patriots appraised the dispute as a resumption of the struggle for supremacy which inaugurated in 1896 with the Philippine Upheaval, the U.S. government thought of it as a revolution. The revolution arose when the Chief Philippine Republic suspected the specifications of the Arrangement of Paris supporting which the US alleged the Philippines from Spain, concluding the short-lived Spanish–American War. The correct answer is A) The rebels were fighting for their independence because the United States did not give it to them. The Philippine's were in a constant struggle to gain independence after the Spanish stopped ruling the country. This led to the Philippine-American War, and even after both wars officially ended, some rebel groups continued to fight American soldiers. Many civilians died from starvation and disease in comparison to warfare deaths and English became the national language, instead of Spanish.
