Answer:

British colonies would sell raw goods to Britain for a small amount of money. In return, Britain would sell manufactured goods to the colonists for more and this would benefit Britain. Britain also discouraged colonists from selling their raw goods to foreign markets for higher price so that colonists would sell it to Britain. This is mercantilism, because Britain profited off of this trading.
