At constant temperature, the pressure of a sample of gas is inversely proportional to its volume. I have some hydrogen in a 3.67

liter container with a pressure of 4 kPa. If I move all of it to a 1.835 liter container at the same temperature, what will the new pressure be in kPa?

The new pressure will be 8 kPa.

Explanation

Lets assume, the pressure of the gas is P and volume is V.

P is inversely proportional to V means : P= \frac{k}{V} , where k is a proportional constant.

First, it is given that, Volume of hydrogen is 3.67 liter with a Pressure of 4 kPa

Now plugging V= 3.67 and P= 4 in the above equation:

4= \frac{k}{3.67}\\  \\ k= 4*3.67 \\ \\ k= 14.68

Now, we are moving all of the hydrogen to a 1.835 liter container. That means now the Volume is 1.835 liter

Plugging V= 1.835 and k= 14.68 into the original equation P= \frac{k}{V},

P= \frac{14.68}{1.835} \\  \\ P= 8

So, the new pressure will be 8 kPa.

A line passes through the point (6,-3) and has a slope of -3/2 write an equation in slope intercept form
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

y = - \frac{3}{2} x + 6

Step-by-step explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y-intercept )

here m = - \frac{3}{2}, hence

y = - \frac{3}{2} x + c ← is the partial equation

to find c substitute (6, - 3 ) into the partial equation

- 3 = - 9 + c ⇒ c = - 3 + 9 = 6

y = - \frac{3}{2} x + 6 ← equation in slope- intercept form

Answer:

A. The time of sunrise each day.

Step-by-step explanation:

The sunrise is a perfect example of periodic behavior. The sun rises every morning around 6 am. Whenever you see the sunrise you have a good estimate of what time it is. The sun only rises after a full night proving that it is periodic. Periodic meaning after a certain period of time.  Hope it helped( i tried to give a detailed explanation)
