Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

18^{x^{2}+4x+4} = 18^{9x+18}\\

Compare the powers

x² + 4x + 4 = 9x + 18

x² + 4x + 4 - 9x -18 = 0

x² -5x -14 = 0

x² -7x + 2x - 2 *7 = 0

x(x-7) + 2(x - 7) = 0

(x-7)(x+2) = 0

x - 7 = 0    or x + 2 = 0

x = 7         or x = -2

A hiker maintains an average speed of 3 3/4 km/h. How many kilometers will the hiker walk in: 2 1/6 h
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]
I'm not all that familiar with that sort of representation, but I guess 3 3/4 = 15/4 and 2 1/6 = 13/6.

You will simply have to multiply the time spent walking, 13/6 hours, by the average distance traveled on an hourly basis, 15/4 km/h.

(13*15)/(4*6) = 195/24 = 8,125 km
