After a bill has been approved by both the House and Senate in identical form, it goes to the President for a signature. If the President approves the legislation, he/she signs it and it becomes law. Or, the President can take no action for 10 days while Congress is in session, and it automatically becomes law.

Answer:

A bill can only be sent to president once it has been approved by both the senate and the house and If the president approves the legislation by signing the document, it becomes law and if he doesn't take any action for ten days and the congress is also in session then it automatically becomes a law. The president can also oppose the bill by vetoing it. If no action is taken y the president and congress has also adjourned its second session then it is known as pocket veto and the bill dies.

What was nativism?
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

A policy of favoring native citizens instead of immigrants

Explanation:

An example of this was during the 1920's in the US. Many immigrants were coming from Asia and Europe. This made many Americans angry and scared. They were rejecting and harassing immigrant groups. I say this, but they weren't mean to every immigrant group. People coming from countries that are allies to the US, like the English, weren't harassed as bad by Americans.
