kkurt [141]

Answer:

set the US-Canada border at the forty-ninth parallel.

Explanation:

A provision of the Treaty of 1818 that expanded the United States also "set the US-Canada border at the forty-ninth parallel."

This is evident in the fact that the Treaty of 1818 often referred to as "the convention respecting fisheries, boundary and the restoration of slaves" broaden the United States. In the treaty, it was certainly written that "the U.S. - Canada border must be set at the 49th parallel."

Is it possible for a society to achieve equality without liberty? Explain.
vampirchik [111]

No. They are tied together. If someone is considered less than equal to another person under the law, then that person will always be the so-called protected or higher person's slave. Human will to power is this way. Freedom (liberty) is ONLY possible when all people are considered equal to each other

Describe the three types of colonial governments, and explain the major difference among them?
jekas [21]
The 3 different types of colonial governments are royal, charter, and proprietary.
Although all 3 colony types were considered part of the reigning sovereign's territory, the law- making process was different for each government type.

Governor of royal colonies were directly chosen by the sovereign and carried out orders issued by the monarch. In contrast, proprietary and charter colonial governments chose there own leaders.

Proprietary governors were elected by the controlling ownership of the colony and reported directly to the sovereign. Proprietary governors were given more latitude in determining laws. Charter colonies, which formed self-governance contracts by the ruling monarch, and the greatest freedom to determine their own colonial laws.
