Under emissions trading schemes, companies are allocated a fixed number of emissions permits but are allowed to buy and sell per
zmey [24]

Answer: A) Under emissions trading programs, pollution levels will not fall sufficiently for optimal abatement.

Explanation:

First conceived in the seventies to fight acid rain and now useful in the battle against climate change, emissions trading is a program targeted at reducing emission by companies.

Under this scheme, every company that produces emissions will need to hold a permit for a limited amount. If they produce more than their stated limit, they would need to buy from other permit holders who produce lower emissions.

While this program can set a limit of total emissions, it will not succeed in reducing pollution levels below this limit.

2. What effect did the geography of ancient Greece<br> have on its early development?
Alik [6]

Answer:

The geography of ancient Greece determined and restricted its development to only certain areas, such as sea trade.

Explanation:

Ancient Greece, or rather the Hellenic city-states, are considered as one of the most developed civilizations of their time, though there can be made a solid case against it. Anyhow, in the early stages of the development of these city-states, they were very restricted in their development because of geographic factors.

The climate was of the Mediterranean type, which is a good climate, but problem was that the topography was rugged and mountainous, so agriculture was very limited to only a handful of crops and herding. Because all of the city-states had access to the sea, they focused on developing trade through it, with goods such as grapes, wine, olives, olives, and olive oil the most traded. They needed good wood for building ships, and they didn't really have any of that type. This made them heavily dependent on the Macedonians who had an abundance of wood, and considering that there was open hate between the two, it was not an ideal situation.

Identify two ways to reduce wind erosion and how do they work? Please write in complete sentences with correct capitalization, g
enot [183]

Answer:

Two ways to reduce wind erosion are: Covering the Surface of the Soil and Making use of Shelterbelts.

Explanation:

Wind erosion is a natural activity where a soil is moved from one place to another mainly because of the wind power. If so happens that a strong blow of wind comes and takes away with it the volume of soil particles and transfers it to other place creating dust storms.

Wind erosion can be reduced by Covering the Surface of the Soil. This can be done by growing vegetation which will protect the soil by the keeping the wind off the soil surface. Another way to reduce wind erosion is by making use of Field Shelterbelts. Shelterbelts are the best way because it not only reduce the wind erosion but at the same time it also conserve the soil moisture. Shelterbelts is a planting method where fields are planted in rows of varied crops.

upper portion (6000ft - 6500 ft)

Explanation:

From the information given:

This activity involves exploring the Zion National Park geology. To achieve this, we need to download the Zion file & open it in Gougle Earth. This is followed by setting the vertical exaggeration to 0.5 & the measurement to feet/miles. The perspective view is also changed to a map view. Now, as viewed in Gougle Earth, the upper portion which is white in nature appears to be steeper than the lower portions. To the Toquerville, the area towards it is remarkably flat with slight undulations.
