s taken from them and used in urban areas to make towns and cities better and larger. Answer:

Their social and economic status fell as society's resources and advances focused on improving cities more than rural areas.

Explanation:

What "loophole" is left in the amendment, that could potentially allow for some kind of involuntary servitude to continue?
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer:

The 13th Amendment, ratified in 1865, says: “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” Scholars, activists and prisoners have linked that exception clause to the rise of a prison system that incarcerates black people at more than five times the rate of white people, and profits off of their unpaid or underpaid labor.

How did the arrival of European settlers on the east coast of North America impact the native Americans ?
Ratling [72]
Native Americans for the most part were not friendly. Who could blame them, since colonists were pretty much invading their territory, and they were kinda cruel. Probably due to fear or caution of native Americans.

Nevertheless, the native Americans were raiding colonists and their homes. This is probably the answer you are looking for. In turn, colonists took matter to their own hands and also hurt the native Americans.

Both sides' distrust of each other escalated to the point where native Americans eventually were nearly wiped out during the expansion of European colonists.
