My friend and I argue all of the time. If we're not lighting into one another over hurt feelings, we're constantly accusing one

another of spreading rumors. It's not always clear who's right and who's wrong, and sometimes it hardly seems to matter. However, our relationship is in trouble, and we need help.
There may be a mistake in the way the underlined sentence is written. If you find a mistake, choose the answer that corrects the mistake. If there is no mistake, choose "Correct as is."

A) Correct as is

B) Still, our relationship is in trouble, and we need help.

C) Without question, our relationship is in trouble, and we need help.

D) In spite of this, our relationship is in trouble, and we need help.

Answer:

C) Without question, our relationship is in trouble, and we need help.

Explanation:

The conjunctive adverbs <em>however</em> and <em>in spite of</em>  demonstrate <u>contrast</u> between ideas. Another conjunctive adverb (<em>still</em>) signifies <u>concession</u><em>.</em> Yet the underlined sentence "our relationship is in trouble, and we need help" is not related to the preceding sentences of the paragraph by way of contrast or concession to their ideas.

The phrase without question adds logical emphasis and confirms the obvious fact that the relationship is in trouble.  C would be the correct choice.

Hello. This question is about The Most Dangerous Game "by Richard Connell

Answer and Explanation:

The characterization that General Zaroff promotes of his servant Ivan can apply to himself, in parts and even General Zaroff himself agrees with this.

He claims that Ivan is a good servant and is very strong, but in addition to being deaf and dumb, he is wild and rude, this is the result of his race, since Ivan is a Cossack. After releasing this information, the general smiles and states that he is also a Cossack. With this, the general uses the characterization of Ivan for him, in parts. He shows that despite being a cultured and well-educated man, he belongs to the same race as Ivan, which makes him a wild man, inside. This is proven throughout history.
