They shrink as water moves from inside to outside the cells as a result of osmosis.

Answer:

The red blood cell shrinks

Explanation:

According to the question, the solution the red blood cell was placed in has a concentrated salt solution, this implies that the solution is hypertonic i.e. high solute concentration in relation to the blood cell, or otherwise the red blood cell's content is hypotonic i.e. low solute concentration in relation to the extracellular solution.

Due to this difference in concentration between the cell and the external solution, an osmotic flow occurs. Osmosis is the movement of water from a region of low solute concentration/high solvent concentration to a region of high solute concentration/low solvent concentration through a semi-permeable membrane, which in this case is the membrane of the red blood cell. This osmotic gradient causes water to flow out of the red blood cell (where the solute concentration is low) to the extracellular solution (where the solute concentration is high).

Hence, the red blood cell loses water and shrinks or reduce in size.

An immunoglobulin (Ig) molecule, of any class, with regions symbolized as C or V, H or L , has a light chain made up of _______.
Nadusha1986 [10]

An immunoglobulin molecule of any class with regions symbolized as C or V, H or L, has a light chain made up of one C region and one V region.

The glycoproteins known as immunoglobulins (Ig), often known as antibodies, are created by plasma cells. A number of immunogens, including bacterial proteins, promote B cells' conversion to plasma cells. These cells, which make proteins, are involved in humoral immune reactions to bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, cellular antigens, chemicals, and synthetic compounds. Using a B-cell receptor, the immunogen or antigen adheres to the B cells' cell surface (BCR).

As a result, a signal is generated that directs the activation of transcription factors, leading to the manufacture of highly specific antibodies for the immunogen that initially activated the B cell. Furthermore, one B cell clone produces immunoglobulin (specificity). Two light chains and two heavy chains that alternate in a light-heavy-heavy-light pattern make up antibodies, also known as immunoglobulins. Therefore, choice A is the right response.

What is the diffrence between a simple and complex carbohydrate?
tresset_1 [31]
Simple carbohydrate contain 1 or 2 sugar chain that have the most basic structure our body need. For eg glucose. Complex contain 3 or more sugar groups. These are refer to as starchy. These stay I our body longer. For rg brown sugar

What does it mean to maintain a stable internal environment?
Anna11 [10]

Answer: It means to guide and regulate chemical and physical parameters to keep your body or environment in a constate state for proper functioning.

Explanation: This is called homeostasis. The body has systems in place to monitor its components such as cells, organs and any other molecule needed to maintain life and good health. The body needs to maintain its temperature at 37°C, pH of blood at 7.4, water balance, osmotic pressure, growth rate and tissue repairs whenever it dictates the need, danger of infection or injury.

All of these form an integral part of a healthy living organism and it needs to always be stable, regulated and monitored. This is called maintaining homeostasis.

Helga [31]

Answer:

Jansky Very Large Array

Explanation:

It Is most powerful telescope on Earth and is located on the plains of San Agustin near Socorro, New Mexico, US. This telescope consist of 25 antennas whose collective ares is equal to a single 430 foot antenna. The angular resolution is equal to an antenna of 22 miles in diameter. It is also possible to adjust its arms to change its resolutions. There is receiver in each antenna that can operate from wavelength range of 4 mm to 7 metres. National Radio Astronomy Observatory is in charge of this telescope.
