Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

x =  48/25 (or   1 -(23/25),  if you prefer)

Discussion:

(x/8) = 6/25                  =>      (multiply both sides by 8)

(x/8) * 8 = (6 * 8) /25     =>

x =  48/25 or   1 23/25 if you prefer

Thank you,

MrB

A regulat pentagon has side lenghts of 5.8cm and apothem of 4cm. calculate its perimeter and area
Kryger [21]

PENTA = 5.

a regular polygon has all equal sides, so if one side is 5.8, all are, so the perimeter for this pentagon with 5 sides is 5.8 + 5.8 + 5.8 + 5.8 + 5.8 = 29.

\bf \textit{area of a regular polygon}\\\\ A=\cfrac{1}{2}ap~~ \begin{cases} p=perimeter\\ a=apothem\\ \cline{1-1} p=29\\ a=4 \end{cases}\implies A=\cfrac{1}{2}(4)(29)\implies A=58

By applying the Tan trigonometric formula, the value of the tangent for angle A is equal to: A. 3√91/91.

<h3>How to find the value of the tangent for <A?</h3>

In order to determine the value of the tangent for <A, we would apply Pythagorean theorem:

AB² = AC² + BC²

40² = AC² + 12²

AC² = 1600 - 144

AC = √1456

AC = 4√91 in.

Now, we can determine the value of the tangent for <A by applying the Tan trigonometric formula:

TanA = Opp/Adj

TanA = BC/AC

TanA = 12/4√91

TanA = 3√91/91.

A right circular cylindrical metallic rod is 15 inches tall. The radius of the base is 2 inches. What is the surface area of the
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer: Surface area = 68π inches²

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for determining the total surface area of the circular cylindrical metallic rod is expressed as

Total surface area = 2πr² + 2πrh

Where

r represents the radius of the cylindrical rod.

h represents the height of the cylindrical rod.

π is a constant whose value is 3.14

From the information given,

Radius = 2 inches

Height = 15 inches

Therefore,

Surface area = (2 × π × 2²) + 2 × π × 2 × 15) = 8π + 60π

Surface area = 68π inches²
