\frac{p}{2} + \frac{3}{4} = \frac{p}{3}\\\\12(\frac{p}{2} + \frac{3}{4}) = 12( \frac{p}{3})\\\\6p + 9 = 4p\\9 = -2p\\\\p=-\frac{9}{2}\\\\p = -4.5

a bag contains 5 red 3 green 4 blue and 8 yellow marbles find the probability of randomly selecting a green marble and then a ye
alexira [117]
The probability of picking a green marble the first time is 3/20 and the probability of picking a yellow marble the second time is 8/20.
probabilities are heavily related to percents so it would make sense that the probability of picking a color would be the number of that color divided by the total number.

note that it is really important that the problem said that the marble was replaced.  If the marble was not replaced, the probability of picking a yellow marble the second time would be 8/19 if the first marble picked was not a yellow one.

I hope this helps.

Which of the following is correct equation for the trend line in the scatter plot? A. Y= 2/5 x -2 B. Y= 5x-1 C. Y= 5x +5 D. Y= -
Dafna11 [192]

Answer: C. Y = 5x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

    We need to write, or decide on, the equation for the blue line as this line represents the trend line for this scatter plot. We will write this in slope-intercept form. <em>See attached for a visual</em>.

    First, we will find our slope. We will use \frac{rise}{run} for this since we have a graph with clear points. See attached, we count up [5] and then count to the right [1] for a slope of 5.

     -> Slope = 5

   Now, we will find our y-intercept. This is where the line intersects the y-axis. The line hits the y-axis at point (0, 5) giving us a y-intercept of 5.

     -> Y-intercept = 5

   Lastly, we will write our equation and decide on an answer.

y = <em>m</em>x + <em>b</em>

y = (5)x + (5)

Y = 5x + 5

             C. Y = 5x + 5

yanalaym [24]
<span>In the question "Complete the following equation using <, >, or =. 100% ___ 1" The correct answer is 100% = 1. A percentage is a number or ratio expressed as a fraction of 100. To convert a given percentage to its equivalent number, we divide the given percent by 100. Therefore, 100% = 100 / 100 = 1.</span>
