A well-designed rubric allows teachers to compare a student’s performance or product to what it should be rather than to another student’s performance or product. Teachers and students using rubrics can create a positive atmosphere for evaluation together.

What is one definition of the central or main idea?
Hunter-Best [27]
A central or a main idea is an idea around which your entire paper or essay or paragraph or whatever it is you're writing, revolves. You have a central idea that you're trying to convey and everything you write or say somehow relates to that idea and proves a point that you're trying to make.

Read the excerpt from Act III of Hamlet.
gogolik [260]

The correct answer is by exploring human emotions.

Elizabethan drama placed a lot of emphasis on portraying human emotions, how people thought and felt about certain things. Shakespeare was definitely one of the authors who was best at doing that, through plays such as Hamlet, Macbeth, etc.

Religion wasn't that important during the Elizabethan era, so options B and D are incorrect. And if you read the excerpt, you will see that there is no mention of political policies, so C is also incorrect, thus leaving us with A.

Which statements about themes are true? Check all that apply. A theme is one topic in a text. A theme is a message the text conv
Andreas93 [3]

Hi! If I were you, I would refer to notes given to you by your teacher, as I am not entirely sure what level this is or what your teacher is looking for, or how your teacher may define a theme.

Personally, I would choose:

A theme is a message the text conveys.

A theme is supported by details in the text.

A theme is seen over the course of a text.

Again, be sure to double-check with your notes and/or teacher to see how they define it, but in my opinion, I would choose those three!

Hope this helps!
