Under the ordinance, slavery was forever outlawed from the lands of the Northwest Territory, freedom of religion and other civil liberties were guaranteed, the resident Indians were promised decent treatment, and education was provided for.
The two types of farm owning developed slavery because the owners of them were allowed to have slaves. The encomienda system was based on the idea that conquerors should have slaves to work for them, and it similarly applied to sugar colonies that had slaves on them. They were responsible for a lot of trafficking of slaves from Africa.
The process is called industrialization because of all the manufacturing jobs created by machines and that is also the beginning off urbanization when many people started to move from farms to cities to seek jobs
