Answer:

Neither the Eighth nor the Fourteenth Amendment was violated by a teacher's use of corporal punishment to discipline students.

Explanation:

This simply talks about the case between a young student in eight grade known as James Ingraham and his principal Willie Wright. Ingraham at the time of the incident, was enrolled in a public school in the state of Florida and it was said that the young student was hit more than 20times in school, which made him require medical attention.

A legal complaints was filled for Ingraham and another student Roosevelt Andrew, where it was stated that the use of corporal punishment on them violated both the Eight Amendment’s ban on the use of corporal punishment and the due process clause of the fourteen amendment.

The supreme court in November 1976 ruled that none of both the eight and fourteen amendments were violated in the process.

Television representations of corrections imply an inability of the correctional system to rehabilitate offenders by presenting
Svetlanka [38]

Cases of corrections towards offenders are shown on TV could be segmented into two groups:

 • First-time offenders, whose cases are of great interest for the public or have caused a great stir in society.
 • Repeat offenders, who are previously exposed criminals, whose actions are recurrent and worthy of showing as a way to express the failure of the correctional system to generate a positive influence towards these individuals.

The ratio of TV expositions of repeat offenders vs first-time offenders is considerably higher. Reaching levels that could easily exceed the 3 to 1 ratio. This is the case because these cases seem to be more propense to gain attention from the public, and as a consequence, tune into the TV program.

Connie feels that she knows what behaviors help her to grow as a human being and what behaviors are abnormal. She believes that
suter [353]

Connie feels that she knows what behaviors help her to grow as a human being and what behaviors are abnormal. She believes that as long as she is not hurting anyone else, society should not be able to dictate which of her behaviors are normal or abnormal. Connie's belief reflects the self-presentation .

Explanation:

As long as a person knows what is good and bad and act normally she is absolutely in a stage of normality. It is one important concept in psychological theory accepted where most people to conceal confusion put on this mask. It is important to understand that normality means socially approved behavior.

Here Connie goes for a self-presentation where she conveys information about herself. Here she is in a stage of defensive self-presentation where she argues that the society should not dictate on her behavior and she knows what is good and bad.
