Answer:

liver is closer to the head than the stomach.

Explanation:

When you're in a standing position, your liver sits on top of your stomach in relation to the ground. When a dog is in a standing position, its liver is on the same level as its stomach with respect to the ground. However, in both cases, the liver is said to be cranial to the stomach. This is because the A. stomach is closer to the spine than the liver. B. liver is closer to the head than the stomach. C. stomach is closer to the head than the liver. D. liver is closer to the navel than the stomach

The stomach is the part of the digestive system where foods is stored. it is then broken down to release energy. the liver on the other hand purifies the blood before transferring to other parts of the body. it also metabolises drugs and removes toxic waste from the body.

In humans, the liver is directly above the stomach which is closer to the head , while for dogs, the liver is on the same level as its stomach.

Read the section "Believer By Imagine Dragons."
qaws [65]

Explanation:

Being told what the song is about, helps the reader understand the lyrics.

Because the reader is told what the song is about, we know what the lyrics mean. The lyrics reinforce what the song is about, like how a simile reinforces what a passage is about. Think about this: If an author wrote, "The man was as brave as a lion,", instead of, "The man was brave", this is a much better choice of words.

Similarly to the passage, by using similes in the lyrics to better emphasize overcoming emotional and physical pain, the song helps the reader understand better the message of the song.

Answer:

So, by reading the section, the reader understands that a simile is about two things being compared to one another, like how the song compares physical pain to a choking rain of ashes.

Read the excerpt from The Riddle of the Rosetta Stone by James Cross Giblin.
azamat

Answer: The right answer is "moving from the details of the individual hieroglyphics to the big picture of hieroglyphics being both representations of sounds and symbols."

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, in this excerpt from James Cross Giblin's entertaining account of the discovery of the Rosetta Stone and its translation by French historian Jean François Champollion (1790-1832), the narrator is pointing out that reflecting upon the hieroglyphs further gave Champollion a chance to understand that, far from simply representing the sounds that identified the names of the pharaohs, or, as some scholars thought, having solely a symbolic meaning, hieroglyphs were both sounds and symbols. He, therefore, advanced the knowledge on the spoken language of ancient Egypt.
