The stomach is the part of the digestive system where foods is stored. it is then broken down to release energy. the liver on the other hand purifies the blood before transferring to other parts of the body. it also metabolises drugs and removes toxic waste from the body.

In humans, the liver is directly above the stomach which is closer to the head , while for dogs, the liver is on the same level as its stomach.
