The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conversation Commission (FWC) plans to hire hunters to kill the Burmese python, an invasive specie

s in Everglades, South Florida. It is estimated that there are 100,000 pythons in Everglades and their population is governed by P' = P(100,000 – P). Assume that each hunter kills 5 python everyday. At least how many hunters should FWOC hire in order to completely remove the python from the area?

Complete Question

The complete question is shown on the first uploaded image

Answer:

FWOC should hire 70,000 hunters to completely remove the python in the area

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are given that the Initial Pythons P_o= 100,000

And the final python   P_f =100,000+\frac{P}{10,000}(100,000-P)

                                      P_f = 100,000 + 10P -\frac{P^2}{10,000}

                For Max Number of  Python

                                        => \frac{dP_f}{dP} = 0

                                        => \frac{dP_f}{dP} =  100,000 -2P = 0

                                       =>   P = 50,000

Hence the maximum number of pythons Max_P =100,000 +\frac{50,000}{10,000} (50,000)

                                                                               =350,000

Using Mathematical relations

              from the Question

     5 python is killed by  = 1 hunter

      1 python is killed by =  \frac{1}{5}  \ hunters

      350 , 000 pythons are killed by  =   \frac{350,000}{5}

                                                             = 70,000 \ hunters

Alexandra [31]

Answer:

217.0588235294118

Step-by-step explanation:

Convert all height to inches.

5' 8" = 68 inches

6' = 72

205/68 = 3.014705882352941

Height/Weight Ratio * Evan's Height = 217.0588235294118

You are asked to write a single variable equation to solve a word problem with two unknown amounts what do you do
melisa1 [442]
You'll need to create two equations and have a 'system of equations' then use direct substitution to turn the equation into one. Whichever equation is easiest to solve for x or y. Solve that one for x or y and plug the result in for the variable in the other equation. Then you will have an equation with only 1 unknown.
