9  walleye should be put into the pool to model the conditions in the lake .

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Here we have , A scientist estimates that there are 2.2×107 walleye in Lake Erie. The total ‘volume of Lake Erie is 4.83×1011 cubic meters. A pool with a volume of 200,000 cubic meter is built to model the lake. We need to find  How many walleye should be put into the pool to model the conditions in the lake . Let's find out:

In 4.83×1011 cubic meters , there are  2.2×107 walleye . So , in 1 cubic meters :

⇒ \frac{2.2(10^7)}{4.83(10^{11})}

According to question we need to find , Number of walleye should be put into the pool of volume 200,000 cubic meter :

⇒  \frac{2.2(10^7)}{4.83(10^{11})}(200000)

⇒  \frac{2.2(2)(10^{(7+5)})}{4.83(10^{11})}

⇒  \frac{4.4)(10^{(12-11)})}{4.83}

⇒  0.91(10)

⇒  9

Therefore , 9  walleye should be put into the pool to model the conditions in the lake .

Owen’s bedroom has a perimeter of 46 feet. If the length of the bedroom is 11 feet, what is the width
AnnyKZ [126]

Perimeter of a rectangle is given by (2 × Length(l)) + (2 × Width(w)) = 2l + 2w

l= 11 feet

2(11) + 2w = 46

2w = 46 - 22 = 24

w = 24/2 = 12 feet

Width = 12 feet.

How many 7 digit phone numbers are there assuming the first digit can't be a 0 or a 1?
Anettt [7]
The first digit can be any one of the numbers 2-9 That a total of 8 numbers.

The next 6 digits can be any permutation of 6  from the numbers  0 to 9.
(10 numbers)

nPr  =  n! / r!

so here we have  10P6  = 10! / 6!  =  10*9*8*7  =  5040

So final answer  is 8 * 5040 = 40,320
