Answer:

correct answers are option 1 (Q and W are similar but not congruent) and option 4 (Q and S are similar but not congruent)

Step-by-step explanation:

Congruent:

Two quadrilateral are said to be congruent if they have equal length and breadth and they have exactly same shape.

Similar:

Two quadrilaterals will said to be similar if their sides are proportional . It means ratio of their length is equal to the ratio of their breath then the quadrilateral will said to be similar.

From the given graph it is clear that each angle of quadrilaterals Q, S and W is equal to 90^{o} therefore these all quadrilaterals are rectangles.

In graph it is given that,

The length of rectangle is

L_{1}= 5 units

The length of rectangle Q is

L_{2}= 5 units

Breadth of rectangle S

B_{1}= 2 units

Breadth of rectangle Q

B_{2}= 2 units

Therefore, it is clear that length and breadth of rectangle Q are equal to length and breadth of rectangle S and all the angles of Q and S are equal to 90^{o} therefore, quadrilaterals Q and S are similar and congruent.

From graph it is given,

The length of rectangle W is

L_{3}= 10 units

Breadth of rectangle S

B_{3}= 4 units

Therefore,

\frac{L_{1} }{L_{3} } =\frac{5}{10} =\frac{1}{2} \\\frac{B_{1} }{B_{3} }=\frac{2}{4} =\frac{1}{2}

It means ratio of lengths of quadrilateral Q and W is equal to the ratio of their breaths. Therefore W and Q are said to be similar not congruent as they have different lengths and breadths.

Similarly,

ratio of lengths of quadrilateral S and W is equal to the ratio of their breaths. Therefore S and W are said to be similar not congruent as they have different length and breadth.

Answer: Q and W are similar but not congruent

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given graph, The length of rectangle  Q= 5 units

and the width of rectangle Q=2 units

The length of rectangle  S= 5 units

and the width of rectangle S=2 units

Since the dimensions of rectangle Q is equals to the corresponding dimensions of the rectangle S and since all the angles of rectangle are right angles.

therefore, Q and S are similar and congruent  as they have the same shape and the same size.

But The length of rectangle  W= 10 units = 2 times length of Q

and the width of rectangle W=4 units= 2 times width of Q

Thus the dimensions of W is proportional to dimensions of Q.

Thus,  Q and W are similar but not congruent.

If f(x) =4x^3+3x-2 then what is the remainder when f(x) is divided by x-4
Tasya [4]

Answer:

x-4= 0

X= 4

from the function above

f(x) =4x^3+3x-2

4(4)^3 + 3(4) - 2

256+12- 2

==> 266

1.What is the interquartile range for the data set?
devlian [24]
1. First, put the range in order and then divide the set into quarters. In this case, quartiles are between numbers.
<span>83, 85, 89,   l    91, 95, 104,  l   112, 118, 118,  l  125, 134, 138
Q</span>₁ = (89 + 91)/2 = 90
Q₂ = (104 + 112)/2 =108
Q₃ = (118 + 125)/2 = 121.5
Interquartile range (IQR) = Q₃ - Q₁
                                        = 121.5 - 90
                                 IQR = 31.5
2. To find the standard deviation follow the simple steps.
Formula in finding the standard deviation: (see attached file)
     Step 1. Work out the simple average of the numbers (mean)
                <span><span><u>212 + 249 + 212 + 248 + 239 + 212 + 216 + 234 + 248</u>
</span>                                                  9
              = <span><u>2070</u>
</span>                     9
mean (</span>μ) = 230

    Step 2. Subtract the mean on each number and square the result.
212 - 230 = (-18)² = 324<span>
249 </span>- 230 = ( 19)² = 361<span>
212 </span>- 230 = (-18)² = 324<span>
248 </span>- 230 = (18)²  = 324<span>
239 </span>- 230 = (9)²    = 81<span>
212 </span>- 230 = (-18)² =324<span>
216 </span>- 230 = (-14)² =196<span>
234 </span>- 230 = (4)²    =16<span>
248 </span>- 230 = (18)²  =324

     Step 3. Add all the squared results and get the mean.
                  <span><u>2274</u>
</span>                     9
       Variance = 252.6666667
    Step 4. Get the square root of the variance.
                  √252.6666667
                  = 15.89549202

Write an equation of the line that passes through (4,−1) and is parallel to the line y=3x+7.
madam [21]

Answer:

$ y = 3x - 13 $

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of parallel line differ only by their constant.

Hence, the equation of the line parallel to $ y = 3x + 7 $ is nothing but $ y = 3x + c $.

When a point passing through this line is given we can substitute the point in this line and get the value for $ c $.

The line passes through $ (4, -1) $.

Therefore, we have: $ -1 = 3(4) + c $

$ \implies c = -13 $.

Substituting this we get the equation of the parallel line as $ y = 3x - 13 $.
