Some people believe that young adults (those under 18) should be held to the same standards as adults. They think that if a mino

r commits a crime, he or she should face the same punishment as an adult who committed the same crime. In your response, argue against this viewpoint. Use the rhetorical device pathos to show that young people should not receive the same criminal punishments as adults. Be sure to introduce your point of view in the topic sentence, support your viewpoint with details, address a possible counter-claim, and end your response with a concluding statement (15 points).

I believe that they should not face the same punishment. One of my reasons are that your brain from day one of when you were born is in the constant process of developing your frontal lobe in your brain which can make decisions a little more blurry causing you to make decisions in which in the future you would not make those decisions even though at 18 your frontal lobe is not fully developed you still make better decisions than you would at the age of 13 or so on at age 25 your frontal lobe has just finished developing. But an opposing claim could be that that don't mean anything you still are making those decisions on your own which you are but the difference is at an older age metaphorical you do not have that little devil sitting on your shoulder and telling you that you need to do something in which at an older age you can control that little devil better. In which is my reasoning why you should no be charged as an adult at an younger age.  <span />

Read the sentence. they found the foul odor quite unpleasant. which technique is used in the sentence?
disa [49]
I believe that the technique used in this sentence is understatement.
It means that something bad is understated in such a way that it doesn't seem that bad. So, here, we have the phrase 'foul odor,' which is something that smells horrible, and then the author says that it was 'unpleasant.' The word is not strong enough to convey how terrible the smell was.
