Hi there! Hopefully this helps!

We know pi*r^2 gives the area of the circle. And the diameter is 2*r.

Now the area of the circle is 201.1 in^2.

Therefore 201.1 = pi*r^2

=> r^2 = 201.1 / pi

=> r^2 = 64.0 (approximately)

=> r = sqrt 64

=> r = 8

Diameter = 2*r = 2*8 = 16

Write a rule for the nth term of the geometric sequence if r=1/4 and a<br> =6
Shalnov [3]

Answer:

a(n) = a(1)*(1/4)^(n-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

The first term is a(1) = 6, and the common ratio is r = 1/4.

Then the general formula for this sequence is

a(n) = a(1)*(1/4)^(n-1)

You are going to use an incline plane to lift a heavy object to the top of a shelving unit with a height of 5 ft. The base of th
loris [4]

Answer:

15.8 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The inclined plane, the base of and the shelving unit form the shape of a right angled triangle.

The hypotenuse is the length of the inclined plane, h.

The base of the triangle is 15 ft.

The height of the triangle is 5 ft.

To find the hypotenuse, h, we have to use Pythagoras rule:

h^2 = a^2 + b^2

where a = height of the triangle

b = base of the triangle

Therefore:

h^2 = 5^2 + 15^2\\\\h^2 = 25 + 225 = 250\\\\h = \sqrt{250}\\ \\h = 15.8 ft

The inclined plane is 15.8 ft long.

A. My best friends, whose name is Laura, is in law school.

You know this because, if you were to take out the part in between the commas, the sentence would still make sense. It just adds additional detail.

Find the measure of each angle: complimentary angles with measures (5x) and (4x - 18)
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

60° and 30°

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm going to assume you mean complementary angles.

Complementary angles are angles that form 90° or a right angle

From the question, it is saying that

(5x) +(4x-18) = 90

To work out x, solve the equation

9x-18 = 90

9x = 108

x = 12

Therefore the angle of 5x is 5x12 or 60° and the angle of (4x-18) is going to be 4x12-18 = 30°
