The TET offensive
The offensive started in Vietnam new lunar year, known as lunar holiday. The north Vietnamese communist regime and the Vietcong, the rebel group that was fighting against the south Vietnam regime launched a series of attacks. the USA joined the war with an aim of containing the spread of communism as the North wanted to reunite with the south.
OK so basically the answer will be that it provided many new different ideas to the American colonists.

State-sanctioned segregation of public schools was a violation of the 14th amendment and was therefore unconstitutional.</em></u>
An experience that <span>have influenced Benjamin Franklin to pursue a leadership role was that when he thought of achieving "moral perfection". He created a list of 13 values that he thought could define a man he wanted to be at the age of 20 (that was in 1726).
