A study followed a group of teenagers who had never smoked and tracked whether they took up smoking and how their mental health
almond37 [142]

Answer:

(A) Participants who were depressed at the start of the study were no more likely to be smokers after one year than those who were not depressed.

Explanation:

This strengthens the argument, because depression doesn´t correlates directly with smoking, it rejects the idea of the Cause-Effect, that would say that maybe depression causes people to turn to smoking to deal with it, so if people were already depressed when entered the trial and weren´t more likely to those who didn´t to start smoking this eliminates that possibility.

George has been playing a video game for ten minutes and is in the middle of a challenging level. Ashley comes in and says that
laila [671]

Answer:

A solution for this conflict could be that George compromises to play for five more minutes to see if he can pass this challenging level. After those five minutes, he compromises to allow Asley to use the game system, even if he did not pass the level.

Explanation:

There are different types of solutions. In this case, this would be an assertive solution because everyone benefits from this deal. Geoge has a chance to pass this level, and Ashley can play to relax. They would not exactly get what they want, but it is a common ground that is useful for both of them.

In which of the following ways does poetry today resemble poetry from the 14th century
amm1812
Structure is probably the same with both eras in poetry. It still has that lyrical or rhyming flow and it follows short stanzas with usually 4 sentences each. The only difference is the current societal situations that each era faced. Both have the same structure but the difference is in their content based on the observations of writers found in specific eras.
