1. What types of geological events or changes occur at divergent plate boundaries?
lorasvet [3.4K]

Thanks for the question,

 1. The molten rock from the cloth exploded next to the hole, forming a new crust. Earthquakes occur in these areas, called distribution centers, are minimal. The Great Rift Valley in Africa, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden were all formed as a result of the movement of various plates.
 2. The changing plate border is the area where two tectonic plates move to each other, often causing one plate to slide under the other. A collision of tectonic plates could lead to earthquakes, mountains, mountain construction, and other geological events.
 3. When two tectonic plates slide past each other, the area where they meet is a rotating or lateral error. The San Andreas Fault is one of the best examples of lateral plate movement.
 4. The air, water, and ice erode and shape the earth. Volcanic activity and earthquakes are changing the landscape in a dramatic and often violent way. And with more time, the movement of the plates of the earth also exposes the oceans and continents. (Check the image for evidence)

Hope it helps!

How is a subspecies different from a species?
grandymaker [24]

short definition:

a species is a population or groups of populations that can potentially interbreed freely within and among themselves.

Subspecies, are subgroups within a species that have different traits

long definition

A species is a group of organisms that (in the case of sexually reproducing organisms) can freely interbreed, producing fertile offspring. This definition has its problems, but overall, it encompasses the meaning of the word “species” in biology.

A subspecies is, as the name implies, a smaller population within a species that share a particular common trait. Usually a sub species is at least partially genetically isolated from it’s parent species, so that interbreeding is less likely to occur. Most often a sub species is physically separated from the rest of the species, and may have some specific physical differences from the rest of the species. However, they are still able to interbreed with members of the parent population.

What are valleys mainly formed from
Korvikt [17]

Example picture for a valley

Explanation:

A valley formed by flowing water, called fluvial valley or river valley, is usually V-shaped. The exact shape will depend on the characteristics of the stream flowing through it. Rivers with steep gradients, as in mountain ranges, produce steep walls and a bottom.
