Simplify 4√16 + 8√16

Mathematics

4\sqrt{16} + 8\sqrt{16}:

Since \sqrt{1} =1, we get:

4\cdot \:1\cdot \:6+8\cdot \:1\cdot \:6=24+48=72

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7\sqrt{4} *3\sqrt{8}

We have \sqrt{4}=2

simplify \sqrt{8} = \sqrt{2^3} = \sqrt{2^2*2}

then the radical rule is used: \quad \sqrt[n]{ab}=\sqrt[n]{a}\sqrt[n]{b}

⇒ \sqrt{2^2*2} = \sqrt{2^2} \sqrt{2}= \sqrt{4}\sqrt{2} =2\sqrt{2}

Now we have \sqrt{4}=2 and \sqrt{8}=2 \sqrt{2}

7\sqrt{4} *3\sqrt{8} = 7*2*3*2\sqrt{2} = 84 \sqrt{2}

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2\sqrt{4}+5 \sqrt{9}

2\sqrt{4} =2*2= 4 and 5\sqrt{9} =5*3= 15

2\sqrt{4}+5 \sqrt{9} = 4+15 = 19

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4\sqrt{5} -2\sqrt{5} = 2\sqrt{5}

since 2\sqrt{5} is the half of 4\sqrt{5}

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-4\sqrt{2}\:+\:5\sqrt{2} =1 \sqrt{2} = \sqrt{2}\\    <em>(-4+5=1)</em>

Two angles are complementary their difference is 26 degrees find the measures of each angles
Nuetrik [128]

Good morning ☕️

Answer:

<h2>32° and 58°</h2>

-by-step explanation:

Let x be the measure of angle 1

and y be the measure of angle 2

The Two angles are complementary

means

x + y = 90

their difference is 26 degrees

means

x - y = 26

x + y = 90 (1)

x - y = 26  (2)

(1) - (2) ⇒2y = 64 ⇒ y =32°

therefore x = y + 26 = 58°

What would the answer to this question be? show work please
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a rectangular prism is the length times width times height.

V = LWH

V = (4√3)(3√6)W

V = 12√18 W

V = 36√2 W

If the volume is irrational, then W cannot have a radical that is half of a perfect square, because when multiplied by √2, that would yield a rational volume.  For example, √18 × √2 = √36 = 6.

Therefore, the answer must be B, because 12 is not half of a perfect square.

V = 36√2 (4√12)

V = 144√24

V = 288√6
