<span>Some subjects of successful amendments include voting and slavery. Slavery was abolished with the 13th Amendment in 1865. The 15th Amendment gave African American men the right to vote. The 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote and the 26th Amendment lowered the voting age from 21 to 18.</span>
