Answer:

Myelin sheath

Explanation:

Multiple sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system which results from the degeneration of the protective (myelin) sheath of nerve fibers (axon).

Axons are generally responsible for carrying nerve impulses away from the cell bodies of neurons. Once the myelin sheath becomes damaged, it results in gradual deterioration to the axon and creates a communication gap between the brain and other parts of the body.

The communication gap elicits a variety of symptoms in an affected person. The symptoms however may vary depending on the location of the axon and the extent of deterioration to the myelin sheath. It ranges from muscle weakness, electric shock sensation, unsteady gait, fatigue, slurred speech and son on.

Why do warmer and wetter biomes have higher net primary productivity
Andrej [43]
biomes vary in their rates of net primary production-biomass that remains after cellular respiration limited by sunlight and nutrients available In general, warmer and wetter biomes have higher net primary productivity than colder and drier biomes. The reason for this trend is that plants require sunlight, water, and temperatures warm enough to grow. This is true even in aquatic ecosystems, where sunlight and the availability of nutrients determine the level of net primary productivity.
