Describe at least three differences between fans and customers
tester [92]

Answer:

The difference between the customer who just bought the product and the client who is crazy about this product or brand is huge, even if the nominal amount of the purchase is the same. In other words, an ordinary customer’s dollar is not equal to a eager fan’s dollar. There is a formal way of dividing customers into categories - the Net Promoter Score (NPS). NPS measures customer loyalty and satisfaction. Moreover, an index value of minus 100 means that all customers are critics, and plus 100 means that all customers are promoters of this product/brand.

The main thing for the consumer is the product’s functionality, ease of use, simplicity, high-quality satisfaction of needs. For the fan, the emotional effect of owning and using the product is of great importance.

An important practical consequence of the foregoing is that working with consumers and fans, understanding their needs requires completely different skills and it is advisable that people with relevant experience and knowledge engage in this activity.

People are becoming more demanding. A quick service or a meaningless gift will no longer cause the customer to return and all the more so to become a fan. But the combination of good service and positive emotions is still "addictive. "

Why were critics expressing discontent with society in the 1950s
-BARSIC- [3]
The 1950s was a time of widespread fear and anxiety - the two great powers, the USA and the USSR, were held together in M.A.D. (Mutually Assured Distruction), thanks to the US dropping the two nuclear bombs on Japan, fascinating Soviet scientists into developing their own Nuclear weapons program.
Joseph McCarthy, a US Senator from Wisconsin from 1947 until his death in 1957, played a huge role in establishing a sense of uneasiness and paranoia among Americans in the 1950s, at the possibility of spies lurking within society. Individuals became more individualistic, and trusted authorities less and less - domestic crimes, for example, were often solves by individuals rather than these individuals requesting help from the police. Actors, those in the entertainment industry as a whole, and politicians were by far the most targeted by McCarthy's policies of kidnapping, torturing and extracting information, if there was a suspicion that those being kidnapped were in fact Soviet spies. The overwhelming majority were not, but there were still a handful that were. The government of the USA attempted to hide the innocent victims of these kidnappings, but were not very successful, and as such, individuals became extremely weary of authorities.

To sum up:
- Cold War begins, USA and USSR battle each other with espionage and intelligence rather than all-out warfare
- American government becomes increasing suspicious of spies within Entertainment industry and internal politics
- These paranoia-inducing policies were widely unsuccessful, and as such, fermented distrust for authorities within American society, and among societies of American allies, who were also suspicious of spying.

If you need further information, a quick search of McCarthyism or the 1950s social context of America should help.

what did the slogan “no taxation without representation” mean and why was it rallying cry for the colonists
Gnesinka [82]

Answer:

no taxation without representation meant that parliament should not be able to tax people if they do not have representation on parliament. It was a rallying cry for the colonists because as British colonies Great Britain claimed that members of the British parliament also represent them but they wanted a representative from the colonies who actually knew what the colonists wanted. The crown refused to give them their own representative so they did not want to be taxed.
