The poem "War is Kind" by Stephen Crane is an ironic and satirical poem that portrays the uselessness and senselessness of wars. The poem points out that senseless deaths of youths in their prime is nothing except man's foolishness and there is no real glory in these deaths for the 'so-called' brave hearts. Lines 6-8 evoke a sense of the time and place through it's reference to the "booming drums of the regiment", indicating that this section of the poem depicts a battle and takes place during a time when military drums were still used during conflict.

the answer would be cause and affect. when the oxygen is added to the rats environment the rat can breathe so when it is added the rat will start to breathe causing the rat to change its behavior. when there is no oxygen the rat cant breathe most likely causing the rat to panic because there is no air  so when air is added the panicked rat would stop panicking because now it can breathe again
