Answer:

The point-slope form of that line is y + 6 = -3/4(x - 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

When you have a point and the slope, you can find the point-slope form of the equation by simply putting the values in their correct spot using the base formula.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - -6 = -3/4(x - 2)

y + 6 = -3/4(x - 2)

yulyashka [42]
A strong positive correlation means that as one variable increases so does the other and that they do so in a linear relationship. So what this means is that “as the rainfall increases, the number of peaches a tree produces increases.”

It does not mean that the rainfall causes the tree to produce more peaches. The correlation only establishes that the two variables are related in that one increases as the other does. It is NOT the case that this means for sure one causes the other. We cannot assume causality when using a correlation.

It might be that the rain causes more peaches to grown or it might be that some other factor or combination of factors causes the growth. We just do not know.

A publisher requires 2⁄3 of a page of advertisements for every 5 pages in a magazine. If a magazine has 98 pages, to the nearest
rjkz [21]

Let x be the number of pages of advertisements.

Write a proportion from the table:

\dfrac{2}{3} of a page of advertisment - 5 pages in a magazine

x pages of advertisment - 98 pages in a magazine,

then

\dfrac{\dfrac{2}{3}}{x}=\dfrac{5}{98}.

Find x:

x=\dfrac{\dfrac{2}{3}\cdot 98}{5}=\dfrac{196}{15}=13\dfrac{1}{13}.

Answer: 13 whole pages and \dfrac{1}{13} of 14th page are advertisments, so 14 pages contain advertisments.
