Owners of a car rental company that charges customers between $65 and $200 per day have determined that the number of cars rente

d per day n can be modeled by the linear function n(p)=800−4p, where p is the daily rental charge. How much should the company charge each customer per day to maximize revenue? Do not include units or a dollar sign in your answer.

Answer:

maximize revenue is ( 100 , 40000 )

Explanation:

given data

charges customers between = $65 and $200 per day

linear function n(p) = 800−4p

p = daily rental charge

to find out

company charge each customer per day to maximize revenue

solution

we know that Revenue = n(p)*p

so given equation

R(p) = 800 - 4p × p

R(p) = 800p - 4p²         ...................1

so now find critical point here that is

f' (p) = \frac{d}{dp} 800p - 4p²

= \frac{d}{dp} 800p - \frac{d}{dp} 4p²

= 800 (1)  - 4 2p^{2-1}

800 - 8p

solve it 800 - 8p  = 0

p = 100

now put extreme point x =  100 into equation 1

y = 800 p - 4p²

y = 800 (100) - 4 (100)²

y = 40000

so maximize revenue is ( 100 , 40000 )

brilliants [131]

Answer:

Option c is correct

$245,680

Explanation:

The total manufacturing cost = $737,040.

Units produced = 22,200

Cost per unit before adjustment for absorbed overhead=

=$737,040./22,200 units

=$33.2 per unit

Cost of goods sold before adjustment for overheads

= (cost per unit × units sold)

= $33.2 × 7,400

= $245,680

On September 30, 2021, Bricker Enterprises purchased a machine for $203,000. The estimated service life is 10 years with a $19,0
sergeinik [125]

Answer:

Bricker Enterprises

Depreciation for 2021, using the double-declining-balance method, would be:

= $9,200.

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

September 30, 2021:

Cost of purchased machine = $203,000

Estimated residual value =           19,000

Depreciable amount =             $184,000

Estimated service life = 10 years

Depreciation rate using the double-declining-balance method = 20% (100/10 * 2)

Depreciation expense for the first year based on the double-declining-balance method:

= $36,800 ($184,000 * 20%)

Prorated depreciation expense for 2021 = $9,200 (($184,000 * 20%) * 3/12))
