Tomas works as an underwater photographer. He starts at a position that is 15 feet below sea level. He rises 9 feet, then descen

ds 12 feet to take a photo of a coral reef. Write and evaluate an expression to find his position relative to sea level when he took the photo.

-15+9=-6 --------> -6-12=-18
15 represents where he started, then he rises upward 9 and then gets to 6. Afterwards he goes down 12 and ends up at 18 which is 3 feet lower then where he originally started.<span />
