Answer:

She spent an hour and 18 minutes doing her homework

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2 + 4/5 =1 3/8

half of an hour is 30 minutes

and 4/5 of an hour is ?

you have to take 60 and divide it by 5 which equates to 12. So then you take 12 and multiply it by 4 which is 48. So if you add 30 and 48 it is 78 minutes. From here we can subtract 60 from from 78 in which you would get 18. There fore an hour and 18 minutes.

Explain in words how to find the product of -4 (-1.5) using a number line.where do you end up
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

To multiply two minus numbers they  will result as a positive number.

the product of any numbers when there is a negtive will always have 2 negtives invlved form three numbers including the answer.

-4 x -1.5 is the same as 4 x 1.5

the answer is  6

Three numbers like -1 x  4 will also be 2 numbers of negative.

= -4

We change this to -4 x 1.5 and shows the answer as -6

But the question had 2 negative numbers already and the answer is just positive 6.

Consider a line passing through the points A(–28, –13) and B(28, 15). Type the y-value for the point C(–24, y) to ensure that po
Nostrana [21]

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{15-(-13)}{28-(-28)}\\=\frac{28}{2(28)}\\\therefore\ m=\frac{1}{2}\\\frac{y-y_1}{xl-x_1}=m]\\\frac{y+13}{x+28}=\frac{1}{2}\\2y+26=x+28\\2y=x+2\\ y=\frac{1}{2}x+1

In order to find y for point C on AB, substitute point C in line equation if AB.

y=\frac{1}{2}(-24)+1\\\therefore y=-12+1=11\\\therefore C(-24, -11)
