<u>Given</u>:

The given expression is \frac{b^{-2}}{a b^{-3}}

Let us assume that a \neq 0, b \neq 0

We need to determine an expression that is equivalent to the expression \frac{b^{-2}}{a b^{-3}}

<u>Equivalent expression:</u>

The equivalent expression can be determined by solving the given expression.

Hence, applying the exponent rule, \frac{x^{a}}{x^{b}}=x^{a-b}

Thus, we get;

\frac{b^{-2}}{a b^{-3}}=\frac{b^{-2-(-3)}}{a}

Subtracting the numbers, we get;

\frac{b^{-2}}{a b^{-3}}=\frac{b}{a}

Thus, the equivalent expression is \frac{b}{a}

Hence, Option D is the correct answer.

What is the point-slope form if it's through (1,4) and the slope is 3
Ratling [72]

For this case we have that by definition, the equation of the line of the point-slope form is given by:

y-y_ {0} = m (x-x_ {0})

Where:

m: It's the slope

(x_ {0}, y_ {0}):It is a point through which the line passes

According to the given statement we have:

(x_ {0}, y_ {0}) :( 1,4)\\m = 3

Substituting we have:

y-4 = 3 (x-1)

Finally, the equation is:

y-4 = 3 (x-1)

Answer:

y-4 = 3 (x-1)

Solve for m<br><img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=g%20%3D%204cm%20-%203m" id="TexFormula1" title="g = 4cm - 3m" alt="g = 4cm - 3m

This is what is called a literal equation.  Solve it for m just like you would solve any equation for x.  Isolate the term with the variable you're looking for.  Do this by subtracting 4cm from both sides to give you g - 4cm = -3m.  Now we need to divide by -3 to get m alone: \frac{g-4cm}{-3}=m.  Or we could lose the negative on the 3 in the denominator like this: \frac{-g+4cm}{3}=m and \frac{4cm-g}{3}=m.  There you go!  Any one of those last three would work.  It just depends upon how your teacher wants you to express your answer.
