The answer that says "Fran buy 6 smoothies," is the correct one because on the diagram it shows 6 yellow parts from 8, and 6 x \frac{1}{8} equals \frac{6}{8}

The bottom right instructs you to multiply 8 times, which is incorrect, both top left and top right are incorrect because \frac{8}{6} is improper and also doesn't match with the picture shown in the top right of the page.

Hope this helps you with whatever problem you may have.

If the length of one base of a trapezoid is 5, the length of the other base is 2x + 7, and the length of the midsegment is 6x –
enyata [817]

Answer:

x = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

The midsegment of a trapezoid is the line parallel to the parallel sides of the trapezoid, which connects the midpoints of the non-parallel sides.

The length of the midsegment of the trapezoid is half the sum of the length of the parallel sides.

i.e,

Length of the midsegment = (1/2) *(Length of base1 + Length of base2)

6x - 24 = (1/2) * (5 + 2x + 7)

12x - 48 = 2x + 12

10x = 60

x=6

∴ x = 6

The rectangle shown has a perimeter of 102 cm and the given area. Its length is 6 more than four times
Norma-Jean [14]
The rectangle has two sides of length L and two sides of length W. The perimeter of the rectangle is the addition of all sides.

P = 2L + 2W

We are told the length is 6 more than 4 times its width. Therefore, we can write:

L = 4W + 6

We know the perimeter, and we can now substitute L into the perimeter equation and solve for W.

2L + 2W = P
2(4W + 6) + 2W = 102
6W + 12 + 2W = 102
8W = 90
W = 11.25 cm

We have solved the width as 11.25 cm and can now solve for the length.

L = 4W + 6
L = 4(11.25) + 6
L = 45 + 6
L = 51 cm

The length of the rectangle is 51 cm, the width of the rectangle is 11.25 cm.

The weights of 5 girls are 70 pounds, 68 pounds, 85 pounds, 62 pounds, and 70 pounds. Nina finds measures of center and measures
lys-0071 [83]

The Measure of center or measure of variation of the weights are; Range = 23 pounds; Median = 70 pounds; Mean = 71 pounds; Mode = 70 pounds

<h3>How to find the measures of Central Tendency?</h3>

We are given the weights as;

Weights of 5 girls = 70 pounds, 68 pounds, 85 pounds, 62 pounds, and 70 pounds

1) The difference of the least and the greatest values is;

Range = 85 - 62 = 23 pounds

2)  The middle value after arranging all the values from least to greatest is; 62, 68, 70, 70, 85

Median = 70

3) Adding all the values and dividing by 5 is;

Mean = (62 + 68 + 70 + 70 + 85)/5

Mean = 71 pounds

4) Value that appeared the most is;

Mode = 70

Eliminate the parameter
Pani-rosa [81]

Option 1. y = 3x^{2} +7 is obtained by eliminating the parameter.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

We have that x = \sqrt{t} and y = 3t+7.

Take x = \sqrt{t} as equation 1.

Assume y = 3t+7 is equation 2.

We need to determine a value that is equivalent to t so it can be substituted in equation 2.

Step 2:

If we square equation 1, we get

x^{2}  = (\sqrt{t})^{2} , x^{2}  =t .

So we have a value that can replace t, so we substitute this is equation 2.

y = 3t+7, x^{2}  =t, so

y = 3x^{2} +t which is the first option.
