Just watched a video on this LOL! what a coincedence. Maya codices were destroyed by conquistadors and catholic priests. Around the 16th century i beleive. \Hope I Helped

It brought the Soviets and Cuba closer together because Khrushchev saw what the US tried to do and he asked Castro to be allies. Castro accepted because he needed a strong ally. Khrushchev and Castro start to build missile launchers in Cuba. Thus starting the Cuban Misslle Crisis.
