Answer:

Explanation:

The concept of judicial review is where the courts can declare either the legislative or judicial branches constitutional or unconstitutional. For the states rights, it can apply to laws that are considered unconstitutional that for example declared that it went against the first amendment. This power is given to both the Supreme Court and the federal courts. This also can be seen in Marbury v. Madison

What did Charlie Chaplin's film The Great Dictator draw attention to?
mylen [45]
It was about the cruelty and anti-Semitism in Nazi Germany.  Though the film used a fictional country it nonetheless represented the Nazi Germany especially since it also persecuted the Jews.  It also showed that not only Jews were targeted but those who opposed the regime’s policy were also arrested.  It showed the plight of the Jews who also had to flee to other countries to survive.  Many were herded to concentration camps where they died while others survived and were liberated by allied troops.

Read the following excerpt from the story. Which term most accurately describes the writer’s tone.
Bess [88]

The correct answer is D. Solemn

Explanation

The tone is the name of the literary technique by which the writings convey to the reader their emotions and point of view regarding the topic that is being treated in the text. Also, a solemn tone refers to the tone that is intended to celebrate or highlight something in particular of text displayed as something extraordinary, with a script adorned with majestic words that make the reader as if they were facing something incredible, for example "he had an unbearable smell of the outdoors, the back side of his wings was strewn with parasites and his main feathers had been mistreated by terrestrial winds".
