Answer the following questions in the essay box below. What was your hypothesis? What were the results of each egg drop? Did any
zzz [600]

Answer:

My hypothesis was the large bag would keep the egg the safest because there would be more surface for air resistance to slow the egg down. In the experiment the large bag did not crack the egg and it landed safely, the medium parachute cracked the egg but it was not broken, The small parachute broke the egg completely. The only egg that survived was the egg with the large parachute. the forces applied in the experiment where air resistance and gravitational force. The independent variable in the experiment was the 10ft drop the dependent variable was the egg breaking. the relationship between air resistance and surface area is that the more surface area the more air resistance.

True or False and why: River travel between the East coast and the new settlements in the West was the easiest way to move peopl
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

America used canals and boat travel to move people and goods from the North to the South and vise-versa. Not from the East to the West. There were no large bodies of water, let alone rivers, to transport people and goods from the East to the West. This is why the idea of a transcontinental railroad was so attractive to America during the mid-19th century, after the invention of the steam engine. Railroads were fast and could conduct trade and transportation  much quicker than most boats could, so after being built, railroads were the main method of transportation from the East to the West, and much conflict would arise in the coming future because of this.
