The correct answer is C) Both recognize the threat of the enemy but emphasize America's power to defeat it.

Roosevelt's infamy speech was given just one day after the infamous attack by the Japanese military on Pearl Harbor. In this speech to Congress, Roosevelt discusses how this was a cowardly attack that negatively affected America. However, he goes on to discuss that America will experience a triumph no matter what it takes.

George W. Bush has a similar message after the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. Bush express the sadness that occurs with this event but also discusses how America will defeat the individuals responsible for this disastorous event.

What purpose did large stone heads like this one serve in the olmec culture
blondinia [14]

The heads are part of Olmec civilization of ancient Mesoamerica. The common reason why they made this because of their religious belief.

Explanation:

The Olmecs are famously known for the statues they carved: 20 ton stone heads, quarried and carved to commemorate their rulers. They are the first known civilization in America and the first to have this unique kind of construction.

Like most of the early Mesoamerican cultures, Olmec also believed in three tiers of existence: the physical realm they inhabited, an underworld and a sky realm, home of most of the gods.
