The battle of Gettysburg began on July 1,1863 and ended on July 3, 1863. The general commanders were Robert E. Lee, George Meade, and Winfield Scott Hancock. They suffered 46,000 out of 51,000 Casualties. In the Union army 3,155 men were killed, 14,531 were wounded and 5,369 were captured or missing. It took place in Gettysburg and Adams County,Pennsylvania.
