Carbon cycle refers to an array of procedures by which the components of carbon are interchanged in the environment. One of the processes that are considered as the part of the carbon cycle is cellular respiration.

In cellular respiration, the by-product is carbon dioxide, and the organisms get rid of this waste component by exhaling the gas back to the atmosphere. Each time one respires, one becomes the part of the carbon cycle, due to exhalation of carbon dioxide.

A rat population has an average weight gain between weeks 2 and 4 of 10 grams, and the narrow-sense heritability of the weight g
madam [21]

Answer:

The correct answer is - 11.25

Explanation:

Given:

Average weight gain between weeks 2 and 4 = 10 grams

The narrow-sense heritability of the weight gain between 2 and 4 weeks

= 25%

Then

Average weight gain would be expected among the offspring of parents whose average gain was 15 grams-

by the formula:

Average weight gain between weeks + (h) (Average weight gain between weeks - parents average gain )

= 10 + 0.25 (15-10)

 = 10 + 0.25 (5)

= 10 + 1.25

  = 11.25

Thus, the correct answer is - 11.25
