The greatest common factor of 8x and 22yx is 2x.

I got this answer by factoring out 8 and 22:

8: 1,2,4,8

22: 1,2,11,22

Their greatest common factor was 2 and they both have x.

Your answer is 2x.

  • Tank = 4 liters
  • 2/3 x 4 = Water filled in tank

Multiply both the terms to get the answer.

<u>Solution:</u>

  • 2/3 x 4 liters
  • => 8/3 liters = 2 2/3 liters

Hence, 2 2/3 liters has been filled with water.

Use the Distributive Property to simplify the following expression. a: 4(x+2) b; -5(9+x) c: 7(x-3)
ExtremeBDS [4]
<h3>hello!</h3>

=======================================================

The Distributive Property states the following:-

\longrightarrow\sf{a(b+c)=ab+ac

Where

\longrightarrow\sf{a,~b,~and~c~can~be~either~constants~or~variables}

Now, let's use this property to simplify our expressions.

The first one is

\bigstar{\underline{\boxed{{4(x+2)}}}

Simplify by distributing 4:-

\longrightarrow\sf{4~times~x~+4~times~2}

Add the products:-

\longrightarrow\sf{4x+8}

\rule{250}{2}

Solve the next one:-

\bigstar{\underline{\boxed{\sf{-5(9+x)}}}

Distribute -5 & add the products:-

\longrightarrow\sf{-45-5x}

\rule{250}{2}

Solve the last one:-

\bigstar{\underline{\boxed{7(x-3)}}

Distribute 7:-

\longrightarrow\sf{7x-21}

======================================================

<h3>note:-</h3>

Hope everything is clear; if you need any more explanation/clarification, kindly let me know, and I'll comment and/or edit my answer :)
